# Future Fit alternative: human coaching or self-directed Apple Watch guidance?

Future Pro—often searched for as Future Fit—and Reps solve adjacent problems, but they are not the same service.

Future's official product describes a dedicated human coach who learns your goals, builds a custom plan, communicates with you, and adjusts the plan over time. Its public FAQ describes a virtual kickoff call, ongoing messages, and a coach who can adapt training around travel, equipment, and changing schedules. If that ongoing relationship and accountability are what you need, Future is the relevant product.

Reps is for a different preference: you want app-based support without scheduled human coaching. It uses the iPhone and Apple Watch you already own to keep recovery, workouts, and nutrition in one place. Reps can turn sleep, resting heart rate, and recent training strain into a daily Readiness Score, help you log a workout and review previous performance, and keep meal logging beside the training day.

## The honest choice

Choose Future when you want a real person to own the coaching relationship, build your program, respond to feedback, and hold you accountable. Reps is not a human-coach replacement: it does not provide a human trainer, live form review, medical advice, or injury-specific programming.

Choose Reps when you want to direct your own training with software guidance that is available whenever you need it. There is no kickoff call, scheduled check-in, or waiting for a coach to revise the plan. Rex is software that can help interpret your logged training, recovery, and nutrition context; it is not a personal trainer or clinician.

## Future and Reps at a glance

- **Core model:** Future is a dedicated human-coach service. Reps is self-directed software guidance.
- **Apple Watch:** Future says a smartwatch is optional but recommended to give a coach workout heart-rate and activity context. Reps is built around iPhone and Apple Watch recovery and workout context.
- **Training:** Future's coach creates and refines a personalized program. Reps supports recovery-aware workouts and strength logging that you control.
- **Nutrition:** Future describes fitness-focused coaching and says detailed meal planning is not a core service. Reps includes photo meal logging, macros, and nutrition history beside the training day.
- **Timing:** Future's public page lists $50 for the first month and $199/month afterward. Reps is free to download; subscription pricing is shown in the App Store for the user’s region.

## Important limits

Reps is a health, training, and nutrition app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose conditions or replace medical, rehabilitation, or individualized injury advice. Consult a qualified professional for those needs.

Future is a trademark of its owner and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Reps. Product and pricing details can change. The Future material described here was checked against Future's official public sources on 20 August 2026:
